Why This, Now?

A tea drinker, news reader and photographer. I also write!

Hi!

Me

My name is Terry, I am an “old guy”. I live in Boise, Idaho and seldom consider leaving this state as everything I ENJOY is quite nearby. I am married to a wonderful Cheri (more on my marital escapades to come). I would be considered brutally honest by most in, of course, a gentle and loving way. I have ever so many interests and a large skill set, which has prompted me to undertake this ambitious project. My first 49 years were spent on the shores of Puget Sound having been born and raised in the city of Seattle (a graduate of Roosevelt High). I am in love with using parenthesis and quote marks in my writing with a unique sense of humor. We have a household of two tiny ankle biters (dogs) and two purring machines (cats)-see my passion for parenthesis?

This Blog and Joyfulness

This blog will center on finding JOY in everyday life-it really does exist. I have been known to slightly obsess over my various hobbies and endeavors over all these years-now I am very into nature photography (gets you outside even when it may not be favorable conditions), tent camping (see previous comment) (have had an RV for much of my life, kids in the Puget Sound country and all that), volunteering, the lifestyle of tea (I am a Certified Tea Specialist through the Specialty Tea Institute), dogs and cats, and for the past 50+ years the ENJOYMENT of being in the kitchen.

I am dedicated to NO preaching of any sort, telling anyone what they should or should not be doing or in any other way being a “know it all”. My way of communication is very much question based, mixed with my own memories of what has brought me to this state of delusion-oops, I mean JOYFULNESS. Being happy, healthy, wise, satisfied, and well is good-JOYFULNESS is a wonderful feeling to experience. Some tools that may be talked (written) about would be:

  • reduce artificial stress,
  • find your own “things” away from social pressures,
  • how to explore the unknown of our world that is just right for you,
  • generally JOYOUS concepts that we will discuss as I hope this to be interactive among a group of folks.

Boy, look at that clutter-must be a genius!

There will be no pressure (NOT JOYFUL!) and no financial commitment (honestly, not for quite a while at least)-this just feels like I have some insight into a nice way to feel, and be-maybe better than this old world of ours has evolved our lifestyle to be.

You

Curious? I will be posting words every week (hopefully, twice each week-when we are not out and about in our state of JOY). Any suggestions on a subject will be considered. It, also, will be permitted for you to “pump” my already slightly oversized ego by admiring any photos that I may post (it is, of course, a passion).

Thank you,

Terry
